Move Together for UCP-OC & cerebral palsy research!
We’re taking part in the STEPtember challenge to raise funds and awareness for our six core programs and cerebral palsy research, taking the equivalent of 10,000 steps a day for 28 days from September 1 – 28.
Cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common childhood-onset physical disability in the world. It’s a lifelong condition, and one in 323 babies is diagnosed with CP each year. Estimated related lifetime costs exceed $1.2 million per person.
Your generosity will help countless children receive the care they need to reach their full potential and support groundbreaking research into this underfunded condition. Some of these programs/research projects include, but are not limited to:
- Training on innovative treatments to better support children with disabilities and their families.
- Critical assessment for a child who has been identified with a developmental delay and/or disability.
- Support UCP-OC's safety-net program, providing vital therapy to uninsured families.
- Training medical teams to detect cerebral palsy in babies as young as three months old, so they can get timely physical therapy.
Please help us support this great cause by making a donation today. We’ll know you’ve got our back! Thank you for supporting UCP of Orange County and those living with cerebral palsy.
