STEPtember 2021

We’re moving CP research forward.

We're taking part in the STEPtember challenge to raise funds and awareness for cerebral palsy research. By walking, riding, or moving the equivalent of 10,000 steps a day for 30 days, starting September 1.

Cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common lifelong physical disability in the world. One in 323 babies is diagnosed with CP each year and estimated related lifetime costs exceed $1.2 million per person.

Your generosity will accelerate groundbreaking research into this underfunded condition, and some of these vital research projects include:

  • Training medical teams to detect CP in babies as young as three months old, so they can get timely physical therapy.
  • Uncovering new chronic pain treatments and solutions for people with CP.
  • Developing technology that will revolutionize communication for the millions of people with CP who can’t speak.

Please help me support this great cause by making a donation. I’ll know you’ve got my back. And that will mean so much to me — and to everyone with CP.

Team Updates

STEPping into STEPtember 2021!

22 Jul 2021
The LinkedIn headlines may have changed, but the goal remains the same: we're here again to support CPARF's mission through the STEPtember campaign!

I'm John, and this is my 6th STEPtember. Mika is back for her 4th on my team.  Fiona joins my team for the first time, but has multiple STEPtembers under her belt.  Paz is new to STEPtember, but has supported my teams in prior years.

We've enjoyed supporting this mission, and finding ways to get those steps in.

During COVID, golf got added to the list. Downside is, our skills are very rough around the edges. Upside is, bad golf means MANY more steps, which is perfect for STEPtember.

Looking forward to a fun STEPtember 2021!
