Disability has been part of my family’s life for more than two decades. My wife, Stephanie, and I are the proud parents of two daughters, Charlotte and Olivia, who each have disabilities. Through their experiences, we’ve seen firsthand both the barriers people with disabilities face and the tremendous difference the right technology, support, and opportunities can make in someone’s life.
That lived experience is a big part of what led me to create Samaritan Partners, an early-stage venture fund backing companies whose products and services improve the lives of people with disabilities. It's also why I joined the board of the nonprofit CPARF/Remarkable, which helps entrepreneurs bring assistive technologies to market. That mission closely aligns with something I believe deeply: innovation can be a powerful force for creating greater independence, opportunity, and inclusion—for everyone.
This September, I'm taking 10,000 steps a day for STEPtember, and every dollar raised goes toward research and technology that improves the lives of people with disabilities.
