HOW STEPTEMBER WORKS
FOR ORGANIZATIONS

01

Strengthen the connection between your employees, no matter where they are working from, by encouraging them to participate in teams of up to four led by one team captain. Or, if they prefer, they can always participate as individuals.
Registration opens each year in July.

02

Step

Participants can move any way they like to take the equivalent of 10,000 steps per day. Over 80 different activities count toward their daily steps.
Everyone can track their steps using their phone or smartwatch and sync with our app.

03

Fundraise

Organizations and participants fundraise online, supported with helpful tips from the STEPtember trainers.
Online leaderboards track the progress of your teams and organization against other participating organizations.
Energize your employees around inclusion and disability technology by raising funds for a good cause!

04

Share

Employees can celebrate their success on social media and encourage others to step up and join the virtual challenge.
Digital resources will be available to help you and your employees spread the word.

If you take the first step, we’ll help you with the rest.

A team of STEPtember Trainers who have cerebral palsy will motivate participants during the whole challenge - supporting everyone as they progress toward and meet their fundraising and stepping goals.
