I STEP for my grandson Raymond.
This year’s CP fundraiser feels different for me. In the past, I’ve been able to give more of my time, energy, and focus—but this year, life threw me my own set of challenges. Medical, physical, mental, and emotional struggles. Navigating providers, battling insurance, advocating for myself, and trying to stay balanced through it all.
And in that struggle, I’ve gained an even deeper understanding of what so many of you face every single day. This year, I truly feel what it means to push through barriers, to keep showing up even when it’s hard.
While my participation and fundraising look different this year, my commitment hasn’t wavered. I will continue to support, fight, and advocate for this cause—because I see you, I hear you, and I stand with you. I vow to come back next year stronger, but today I want to thank you for keeping me moving and reminding me why we step together.
