Stepping Up, Pushing Limits, Breaking Barriers for CP and Beyond
Disability is a natural part of the human experience and it touches more lives than you might think. In the U.S., more than 61 million adults — that's 1 in 4 of us — report having at least one disability. That means millions of our friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors face barriers that affect their independence, health, education, and careers.
There's an urgent need for innovative solutions that can bridge gaps across all parts of life, helping everyone participate fully and vibrantly in their communities and pursue their dreams.
That's where the Remarkable Accelerator comes in. As CPARF's flagship tech accelerator program, Remarkable is transforming how we approach disability through assistive technology (AT). Over the past five years, I've had the privilege of leading this program as we've supported hundreds of entrepreneurs building solutions that serve as powerful drivers of social equity, human dignity, and inclusion.
Remarkable's portfolio companies are creating breakthrough technologies that improve access to learning, working, connection, and healthcare. These innovations help people live more independently and engage fully in daily life — from communication devices for non-speaking individuals to mobility solutions that restore freedom of movement.
Because cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common lifelong physical disability, affecting 18 million people worldwide, our work has far-reaching impact. CP is a dynamic diagnosis that affects each person differently, so the assistive technologies developed through Remarkable inform solutions for other disabilities, our aging population, and society as a whole.
Through Remarkable, we're expanding access to AT and helping people with disabilities, chronic conditions, and age-related challenges live healthy, dignified lives. We're proving that building for disability isn't just meaningful — it's profitable and scalable.
I'm deeply grateful that you're considering supporting this work that means so much to me. Your donation to the Remarkable Accelerator is more than an act of generosity — it's a powerful investment in technology that changes lives and work that I'm honored to be part of every day.
Together, we can help build a more inclusive and accessible world for everyone.
